- Why not? Nobody would buy it, that's why. The greater portion of video game audiences are male and would not be as interested in such a game. It plays off of the culture and history of the US/Western Europe. And the review did say that female characters were available...

- I'm 25 and a vet tech, and I sometimes have to try hard not to cringe when certain people bring their kids with them to their pet's appointments.

- I'm kinda torn on this one. I think the Girl Scouts would be better off if they found a way to offer the cookies year-round (online, maybe) at a cheaper price. I love both the Tagalongs and Thin Mints, but paying $3.50 for 15-30 small cookies makes me limit myself to one box of each per year.

- I agree completely. I'm a vet tech and I see animals being handled stupidly all the time. BSL (breed-specific legislation) that bans pit bulls, "bully breeds", and other so-called "agressive" dogs is an example of a stupid reaction to people who handle their animals stupidly.

- What? Why? The Palm Pre isn't pretending to be an iPod, it's just using a feature formerly available to any other wireless computing device. This is just Apple trying to force more people to buy their ridiculously overpriced products.

- My bet is that the Humane Society they're referring to is the HSUS (Humane Society of the United States). Hopefully most other organizations wouldn't oppose slaughterhouses in these situations. Even that is better than getting their skin ripped off or a slow death from starvation.

- I agree that he did something wrong when he stole the barrels. However, if the company likes it and doesn't want to press charges, then I think the charges should be dropped.

- Metal Guitarist: If he was holding target practice with posters of Obama on the targets then I would believe he was promoting violence. Encouraging people who own guns or are considering owning one to be safe and responsible with it hardly qualifies as promoting violence.

shooting bears or other predators is not effective. Canadian studies on this exact topic show large pepper spray canisters are a much more effective deterrent to a bear attack. As a hunter, I choose pepper spray and rely on the science over rhetoric.
